This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in business logistics, sales, marketing, and/or technology. Experience as a senior executive in the public transportation industry will be a real plus.

Headquartered in Southern California, the Vice President of Business Development is responsible for developing and implementing business development strategies to ensure that the company’s short and long term business plans are successfully achieved.

This position will oversee a business development staff of professionals and consultants located in major markets throughout North America. The person selected will interact with existing and potential customers, develop market opportunities, establish alliances, recommend acquisitions, assist in the negotiation of contracts and regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.

The successful candidate will have a four-year degree in engineering, business administration, management, economics or in related field, plus a minimum of fifteen years progressive corporate management experience. This position also requires at least ten years of experience in managing people and resources. Extensive travel is required domestically and internationally, often for extended periods of time and in-line with customer requirements.
